First Time

Developing film wasn't as easy as I thought it was gonna be. After watching some YouTube videos on how to develop black and white film I choose the chemicals that I would be using. I ended up with Illford ID-1 1 as my developer and Illford Rapid Fixer for my, well you guessed it the fixer. Of course I also ordered all the other necessary equipment like the tank and graduated cylinders. I had finished a couple rolls of film and as soon as the chemicals and equipment got here I rushed to start developing.

I thought I knew what I was doing but boy was I wrong. It took me a while to figure out my dilutions and measurements. I was so lost and just wanted to see results. I finally got everything set and started to develop. After the washing I took out the film expecting to see some great shots but sad to say there was nothing on the film. I felt really sad for a while because I had put a lot of thought into some of the shots that were on that roll. I later found out that the developer I had bought was used and expired.

But now I know what I am doing. I have successfully developed 4 rolls of 35mm film and I will soon post some images after I get the negatives scanned. I am now trying out 120 film on my Yashica A TLR. I hope that it goes well but I am sure I will have some problems through out the process.

Well until next time, Keep Shooting!
